We’re developing an allotment in Blackbird Leys that serves as a nurturing environment for mothers, children, and community members to escape loneliness and connect with nature. Key features will include:
- Structured programs focused on promoting mental and physical health for participants of all ages.
- Creative sessions for both children and adults to express themselves and foster emotional well-being.
- Educational activities that teach participants how to cultivate and care for plants, encouraging sustainable practices.
- A playful area where children can engage in imaginative play, enhancing their sensory experiences and creativity.
- We’re partnering with City of Oxford College to provide carpentry work experience for students, allowing them to contribute to the project by building planters and fencing under the guidance of a Carpentry Technician.
